Exited the house and proceeded to walk the nearby hiking trails. Went into the gift shop and purchased some reasonably priced souvenirs. Interesting house design and appointments but certainly not over the top. She later took us on a tour of the otherwise off limits portions of the house. Property was previously owned by Vera Krupp (think Krupp diamonds) and Howard Hughes (though Hughes never occupied it) among others. Parked our car then went into the house and was treated to a nice historical overview of the property and its ownership by a docent. The weather was sunny with an occasional cool breeze, 66 degrees. Visited Spring Mountain Ranch on a Thursday in May. Everyone in attendance had an absolute blast and I will recommend the Grove to everyone I know! Our day went by smoothly with zero roadblocks and I have their planners and coordinators to thank for that. We had minimal decor but they set everything up for us the morning of. The staff are very responsive to your questions and detail-oriented.
Their packages include SO much considering how affordable they are! This was the only venue we could find around town that was within our budget. The only vendors we went with outside of the venue were our photographer and florist. The Grove provided 95% of the services, including food & drinks (their brunch is delicious!), cake, tables and chairs, tableware, linens, DJ, officiant, etc. The reception room was the perfect size for what we needed. The lighting that time of the day was dreamy. It's partially shaded and surrounded by beautiful green and almond trees. We chose the Almond Grove for our ceremony location and it was perfect. I can't say enough good things about this venue! We hosted an intimate vow renewal ceremony and reception in the early morning, so we chose the Brunch package.
